As a lifelong lover of learning, I have been tutoring students since I was in high school, sharing my knowledge of English and writing with anyone who needs it. Outside of tutoring, I also work as a freelance editor and proofreader with experience in a variety of subjects from social media marketing to both fiction and non-fiction books.

I Love Tutoring Because

I love helping students find new ways to look at an assignment in order to gain a better understanding and appreciation for what they are learning. My goal is to always help each person I work with move beyond a challenge and become more confident in their abilities as a student, and I feel so much joy when I am able to accomplish this.

Feedback needs to be more straightforward and applicable to the works provided, rather than providing examples outside of the material. Reviewing drafts of a paper, for some learners, is meant to correct errors rather than long-term improvement.

Sarah really helped me to understand how to begin my essay and helped me to find the important information I needed and to take out information that made my essay too detailed.
